EXODUS

EXODUS

EXODUS
18" x 24"
Oil on Canvas

Dedicated in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King
"Exodus"
#Poem
by Juan Romagosa

Out of darkness
from the storm
leap out.

Out of shadows
from the darkness
stretch out.

Out of Heaven
from the skies
leap out.

Freed from hallows
past forlorn
dash vast fields
rapture out.

Ascending, descending
dancing above the fray
in flight to dream
to passion live:
Leap of Faith

CONVENT DREAM

CONVENT DREAMS
14" x 18"
Oil on Canvas..

"Convent Dream"
by Juan Romagosa

Earth Mother of All
Give rise to us all
Bring forth within all
the fruit that is All.

Barren nun
smothers all
issues none
bane of all.

Monk Screams
Convent dreams.

THE QUICKENING

THE QUICKENING
16" x 20"
Oil on Canvas

A woman is awakening, stirring within, new life arising, symbolic of Spring and the meaning of life.

"The Quickening"
By Juan Romagosa

Dormant life force
awake!
Within you
sleeping strong emotions
lay fallow

Rushing through your
very core
feel stirrings
longtime stored

Spring to action
whence hollowed laid;
secret places
explored

hidden soul
bring it fore
Wintering Love
through veins
coursing, flowing:
Arise!
